Nested within the Innovation Studio of Arts University Bournemouth, our primary focus is on empowering young aspiring artists, professionals and businesses through our DESIGN IN VR courses and workshops, fostering a new era of design innovation.

Gravity Sketch Lead Instructor & Footwear Industry Expert
Ekaterina Savosina, DESIGN IN VR Founder and Lead Tutor at Arts University Bournemouth on Design in VR curriculum. With over a decade of experience working for top international footwear brands in fashion hubs like Milan, Dubai, Cairo, and London, Ekaterina brings industry expertise and invaluable real-world insights to VR Footwear Designer Course.
Throughout her career, she has collaborated with renowned brands such as New Balance, Fila, Hoka, Keen, and the Adidas Innovation Team, contributing to the refinement of design processes and the adoption of innovative practices, particularly through the integration of Gravity Skectch.

As a former Gravity Sketch Footwear Design Consultant Ekaterina earned recognition as a power user, early adopter and became the fourth individual worldwide to achieve instructor certification in Gravity Sketch.

Creative Director at Element Creative Ltd & Product Design Industry Expert
Andy Griggs, co-founder of Element Creative has worked in the product design and engineering field for nearly 2 decades, for companies such as BMW, Rolls-Royce and Dyson, as well as extensive experience in the marine and maritime sectors.
Element Creative work in a really wide variety of industries and don't find satisfaction in standing still. Having crafted a design and development process over the years to streamline the journey and make the most efficient development path for their customers, Andy shares both practical insights into product development methodology, as well as discussing different approaches that are essential to navigating and building successful client relationships.

For the past decade, Jamie has led the development of information modelling, rendering, and visual presentation within design and communication courses, particularly in the prestigious BA (Hons) Interior Architecture and Design programme. He specialises in combining traditional visual communication with cutting-edge technologies like VR and AR, firmly believing that technology should enhance the storytelling of visual narratives.

Having recently completed an MA in Illustration, Jamie continues to explore both traditional hand-drawing techniques and technological innovations. His work merges technology, human expression, and mark-making, reflecting a personal journey that challenges conventional ideas and invites connection with the audience.

Burcu Aslan is Fonder of LAJI, Fashion Digital Brand and Industry Expert on VR Fashion Designer Training.
Burcu brings years of hands-on experience in fashion production with a strong commitment to innovation and sustainability. With nearly 15 years in pattern cutting and garment construction and around 7 years in digital production using CLO3D, Burcu combines both traditional and modern techniques to create efficient and eco-conscious workflows.

Burcu is developing a cutting-edge AI model to enhance waste reduction during garments production and helping other brands to integrade the vision of sustainable production.

She shares exclusive industry insights and forward-thinking strategies with our students, empowering the next generation of designers ready to merge creativity with transformative technology.

Independant Designer & Footwear Guest Speaker
Shoryan Maini is Independant Desgner and Guest Speaker on VR Footwear Designer Training.
Shoryan collaborated on cutting-edge projects with renowned firms like 2LK. In these roles, he has created innovative spatial designs for immersive experiential environments.
​
Most recently, Shoryan developed a beta AR filter for Peterson + Stoop, an Amsterdam-based studio celebrated for their pioneering work in footwear innovation and recycling.
Currently, Shoryan is leveraging his expertise to help footwear brands make their design processes more sustainable and technologically advanced. He is also preparing innovative shoe designs optimized for 3D printing through a partnership with 3D printing footwear firm in Germany-Zellerfeld.
